These three are the main ingredients that makes the famous Bechamel Sauce. It is said that Lasagne cannot exist without the Bechamel Sauce and that sounds quite right. When it comes to seasoning the Bechamel Sauce, we should get our hands on white pepper. It is the best choice of pepper for this sauce. If white pepper is not available, the plan B calls for black pepper. It will also do the trick.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe: Step by Step

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #1 Pour 2 cups of full cream milk in a heavy saucepan and keep stirring until it is warm.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #2 Now take 2 tbsp of butter in a new pan. Melt the butter on medium heat.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #3 Add the flour to the melted butter. Keep stirring the mix until it turns into pale-yellow color paste ( roux ). Make sure that the mixture should be warm. it should not be too hot.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #4 Now it is time to add milk to roux. Keep stirring while adding milk to avoid any lumps. A wire whisk can be used to mix the milk while pouring it in the pan.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #5 Now glue the leaf on onion surface with the clove gently and add it to the mixture in the pan.

Bechamel Sauce Recipe Step #6 Now keep stirring the sauce on medium flame for about 20 minutes until it gets smooth texture. Consider adding half a cup of milk to the sauce if the texture appears to be thick.
