Hii Foodies!!! How are you all??? For us Indians munching is incomplete without tasty yummy sev. When we talk about diwali snacks then how can we forget tea friendly sev. This sev recipe is made from besan (gram flour) and hing hence also known as hing sev. These are crisp sev made from besan and spices specially hing. This is a quick, savory snack which is especially enjoyed during Diwali and other festivals. But not only for festive vibes, it is an ideal evening snack which can be munched with a cup of coffee or masala tea.

Hing Sev Recipe Ingredients
· 1 cup gram flour (besan)
· ¼ teaspoon turmeric (haldi)
· ½ teaspoon red chili powder (lal mirch powder)
· ¼ teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
· ¼ teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
· ½ teaspoon salt or add as required
· 2 tablespoons hot oil
· Water as required
· Oil for deep frying
· Sev Maker
Preparation Before Recipe
Sieve the besan in a mixing bowl and add all ingredients with 2 tablespoons of hot oil in the required quantity of water. Knead a soft and smooth dough and cover it with a damp cloth and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

Hing Sev Snacks Recipe: Step By Step
Hing Sev Recipe Step #1 After 10 to 12 minutes, remove the damp cloth and knead again for a minute.
Hing Sev Recipe Step #2 Heat oil in a pan, test it by adding a piece of dough, if it rises gradually and steadily. Then the oil is hot enough.
Hing Sev Recipe Step #3 For making the sev, take sev maker, and place the disc with slightly larger holes. Grease the disc with little oil.

Hing Sev Recipe Step #4 Take a part of the dough and place in the sev maker. Cover the sev maker with the lid and press the sev maker to make sev in hot oil.

Hing Sev Recipe Step #5 Fry till sev becomes golden and crisp, fry both sides.

Hing Sev Recipe Step #6 Place the fried sev on kitchen towels to absorb excess oil.

Hing Sev Recipe Step #7 Your hing sev is ready to serve and store.

· If you see your dough is becoming sticky then add some gram flour and knead again while if it becomes dry or hard, then add a few teaspoons of water.
· Choose the right size of disc from the sev maker.
· Sev can be stored in an air tight container for a longer shelf life.
