It is easily made with wheat flour, jaggery and ghee. If you have kids at your place then this is a good option as Kids at home are very fond of Sweet puris. Meethi puri can easily couple with pickles and chutneys and even namkeen. It tastes like sweet biscuits with sweet taste. Diwali is the time for get togethers, small-small parties, cooking and snacking, go for Meethi puri to make your celebrations sweeter. These are so hard to resist that you will not get time to store them and will be eaten soon after they are made. It can be easily made instantly so you can make it any time whenever you like to have. Meethi (Sweet) Puri Recipe Ingredients
· 2 cup or 300gm Wheat Flour (Aata)
· 1 cup Jaggery (Gud)
· 1/2 tsp Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
· 1 tsp Ghee
· A pinch of salt
· 1 cup milk
· Some Water for kneading
· Oil for frying
Preparation before Recipe
Take a cup and mix 1 cup of milk and 1 cup jaggery to form a solution and keep it for 15 min.
Knead the dough by mixing 2 cup Wheat Flour, 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder, 1 tsp Ghee, a pinch of salt and milk and jaggery solution. If required add some water. Keep it covered for 15 min.
Meethi (Sweet) Puri Recipe: Step By Step
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#1 Take ball sized dough and flatten it with your hand or flatten it on a rolling surface.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#2 Prick it using a fork to prevent puffing.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#3 Finish with all the dough and let the puri’s dry.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#4 Heat oil in a pan and fry the puri in medium hot oil.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#5 Fry until the puri starts floating, this may take approx 1-2 minutes.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#6 Continue to fry on low to medium flame till they turn golden in colour.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#7 Drain off the puri over kitchen paper so that excess oil is absorbed.
Meethi Puri Recipe Step#8 Finally your meethi puri is ready to serve with pickle or chutney.

- Alternatively, you can adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
- Always cover your dough with moist cloth to avoid it from hardening.
