Tip #1] Non-stick pans do not like metal spoons.
Yes, that is right. Metal spoons have damaging effect when it comes to the non-stick pan surface. The work around is to always use plastic spoon. Wooden spoon will also do the job without hurting the pan.
Tip #2] Grease the pan bottom before the flame kisses it.
When we heat the pan without adding oil/butter, it can affect the pan texture. It might also happen that harmful toxins from the pan come out and get added to the food (Yes, those toxins should not be there in your food).
Tip #3] Non-sticks pans are not comfortable on high temperatures.
Non-stick pans should be used only with low and medium flame while cooking. This practice maintains the texture and smooth surface of the non-stick pans.
Tip #4] Say no to washing Hot non-stick pans
After cooking, always allow the non-stick pan to cool down for some time. It is ready to be washed only when it is completely heat-free. Washing the pan while it is hot can result in damage to the surface.
Tip #5] Non-stick pans like to be washed with hands only
When it comes to washing the non-stick pans nicely, our first choice is usually scrubbers or steel mesh, which is not right. To protect the surface of the non-stick pans, consider adding the washing liquid to the surface and rub it with bare hands only. In this way the pan’s surface and texture will remain intact.
Tip #6] Store the non-stick pan away from sharp object
When the non-stick pan is not in use, make sure that it is not in contact with any sharp object, as it caan damage the smooth surface of the pan. Best way is to shelf it separately, or hang it on a hook.
